HYIPs Exploding
Tuesday
Apr 20, 2010
The HYIP programs continue to explode. That should not be a surprise. Ninety-nine percent (99%) of HYIPs are Ponzi scams.
In my quest to move away from HYIPs, I continue to be surprised. Why? Because, after so many scams, if I offer a person who has been in HYIPs and has been scammed many times before a legitimate company, they will not even look at the offer. My suspicion that the anti-scam trolls on the public HYIPs forums were and are wasting their time is just reinforced time and time again as I moved from HYIPs to legitimate companies.
I suspect that the allure of 40% and more a month is just too tempting, and what these people do is not investing but gambling.
Many of these people really don’t think. Would you rather have your principal investment and a modest percentage a month (or no gains or even a loss), as you would get from Oceanside Network, or see your principal disappear into a black hole?
Stop Using Internet Explorer!
Monday
Jul 6, 2009
I know I haven’t posted since the July, 4th celebrations. Sorry about that, I should be good to go by tomorrow. For now I leave you with non-HYIP or MLM/Affiliate Networking news.
Microsoft has come out with news that there is another vulnerability in IE that they haven’t fixed. So what else is new?
Microsoft Corp. has taken the rare step of warning about a serious computer security vulnerability it hasn’t fixed yet.
The vulnerability disclosed Monday affects Internet Explorer users whose computers run the Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 operating software.
It can allow hackers to remotely take control of victims’ machines. The victims don’t need to do anything to get infected except visit a Web site that’s been hacked.
Security experts say criminals have been attacking the vulnerability for nearly a week. Thousands of sites have been hacked to serve up malicious software that exploits the vulnerability. People are drawn to these sites by clicking a link in spam e-mail.
Folks, this is the main reason why you should stop using IE. This is the reason a lot of you have woken-up to find your Liberty Reserve, Solid Trust Pay, or your bank account empty and your credit card account full of thousands of dollars in new charges!
The other reason isn’t so sinister, it’s just a lack of standards.
Firefox and Opera browsers provide you much more protection and are standards compliant to boot.
